Meat is worldwide popular food

There are still enormous differences in meat consumption in global comparison. The FAO figured out for 2010 that every inhabitant of the globe consumes at average 41.8 kg of meat which is by 0.3 percents less in comparison with 2009, when the consumption increased more at average by 200 grams. In industrially advanced states, in pure mathematical point of view, every inhabitant had on a plate 80.7 kg of meat which is by 0,3 percents less than in the foregoing year.

Struggle for wine from Templářské sklepy is hard; it is dealt with by police and court

A struggle for wine from Teplářské sklepy still escalates. The State Agricultural and Food Inspection, because of that the firm had deny admitting inspectors in storages, entered a complaint for a suspicion of committing of criminal offence of consumer damage. The firm defends; according to information of Aktuálně.cz it appealed to a court to stop the inspection acting.

Share of organic farming should increase to 15 percents by 2015

A share of agricultural land managed by rules of organic farming in the Czech Republic should increase from the current ten to 15 percents by 2015. A bio-food share on the domestic food market should achieve three percents in five years; now it represents roughly one percent. These are aims of the Action plan for organic farming development in 2011 to 2015 with which the Minister of Agriculture, Ivan Fuksa, is going to acquaint the government on Tuesday.

EU prepares to help pig meat producers

The European Union most likely prepares to help producers of pig meat, similarly as to milk producers in the past. Pig meat production still decreases in the Union and only in the Czech Republic over six years of its EU membership it has fallen by 40 percents. A deputy minister of Agriculture, Juraj Chmiel, said it to journalists today. The European Twenty-Seven should set together an expert group presently which should find eventual forms of help as fast as possible.
