Payments for land exclusion will increase significantly from January

Payments for exclusion of agricultural land from a fund will significantly grow from the New Year. Especially exclusion of land of the highest quality, which the amendment of act should protect first of all, will be severalfold more expensive than till this time. In consequence of build-up, 11 to 16 hectares of agricultural land run low daily in the Czech Republic. “We want investors to more consider whether it will payoff to them to build on a green meadow or to interested for example in brownfields parcels”, Václav Marek from the Ministry of Environment said to ČTK.

Vaccination against BT will be applied even in 2011

In order that vaccination against catarrhal sheep fever – bluetongue (BT) in last years had a sense, it is necessary to vaccinate also in 2011. So, minimally for three years so that cattle and sheep farms would be sufficiently resistant to this unpleasant infection. Because it is dealt with a compulsory vaccination on the entire CR territory, the State Veterinary Administration of the CR announces the regulation in form of extraordinary veterinary measures by publication in a statutory medium, in Czech radio, and also on an official board of the Ministry of Agriculture of the CR.

Good infection situation – we will save next year

A Methodology of animal health control changes somewhat every year. A change for the next year will consist mainly in saving money due to still improving infection situation of farms and wild animals. Some obligatory examinations are cancelled; in others their frequency is decreased. An infection situation in case of poultry, in reproduction breeding of domestic fowl (hens) in relation to an occurrence of salmonellas, is so favourable that vaccination against salmonellas will be only voluntary in 2011.

Sedlčanský Pepa from Poland, Jihlavanka from Vienna. Czech marks ended in emigration

Mochovská zelenina (vegetable) is imported from Austria, cheeses Želetava from Slovakia. Traditional Czech products are produced abroad; firm often try to cover up it. Cars with a winged arrow in sign stopped to be produced in Mladá Boleslav; the concern Volkswagen will secure an import of cheap Škoda cars from China. Do you can imagine reading such a thing in newspapers? Not perhaps for the present. It doesn´t make sense so that something so typically Czech would be imported from abroad. Anything similar is not planned now and I do not consider it as probable in the future.
