Incomes should increase by 20 %
According to an actual EC study, farmer incomes in the EU-27 should increase approximately by 20 percents during next ten years. As it results from an actual study of the European Commission, European farmers could count on an income increase during the next ten years. Average incomes per one worker in 27 EU member states should have increased by 2010 approximately by 20 percents in comparison with the average of 2005 - 2009. However, Probability of the prognosis results is affected by factors like conjuncture and weather.
Grant for new orchards will be decreased to half, fruit-growers dislike it
State grants for outplanting of new orchards should decrease year-on-yearly by a half to 30 million crowns this year. According to fruit-growers it will lead to further ageing of orchards and to worsening of Czech fruit-growing position. Almost a half of 17 800 hectares of orchards in total is aged and with decreasing fructuousness. Czech orchards belong to the oldest in Europe. A chairman of the Fruit-growing Union of the CR Martin Ludvík told it at today´s Fruit-growing Days in Hradec Králové.
New minister Chalupa has to present conceptual solution of most actual MŽP problems as soon as possible
Social democracy appealed for a long time to that the recalled Pavel Drobil would be replaced in the function of the Minister of Environment by a respected and professionally competent personality who would stabilize the department of environment. The premier Nečas, in spite of these reservations of opposition and the expert public, enforced to this post a political and to him closed candidate without an expert erudition. Such a candidate could be taken into account in case that the ministry operated in standard way and were not personally damaged by his predecessor.
Brussels plans 0.1 % GMO tolerance
According to a proposal of the European Commission´s, Brussels will tolerate as many as 0.1 % of illegal genetically modified material in supplies of feeding grains. At present, a zero tolerance is held towards GMO. The tolerance 0.1 does not achieve what the industry required, on the other hand in this case still zero tolerance will be held towards GMO in food cereals. The approval of 0.1 % tolerance will not require a discussion in the Council of Europe and in the European Parliament. The proposal concerns only checks of feeds of GMO content subordinating to EU approval.
