Seven “happy” foods will elude higher VAT; others do not have chance

Amendment of law concerning ISPOP system

The Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the CR has passed a proposal for a law which changes the Law No. 25/2008 Col., on the integrated register of the environment pollution and the integrated system of discharge of announcement duties in the environment field, and on a change of some laws, subsequently amended, and other connected laws. The novel enables to decrease costs for operation of the integrated system of discharge of announcement duties in the environment field (ISPOP) and at the same time it decreases an administrative burden of obligatory subjects thereby it contributes to improvement of entrepreneurial environment in the Czech Republic.

Pleasant news, however, not for the Czech Republic, came from the last standing committee for animal food and health which took place in Brussels on the 15th of February. Experts from the member states agreed on that the age-limit for BSE testing in slaughtered cattle will be increased to 72 months from the 1st of July. However, this decision applies only to 22 member states except Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland.
