Fund of risks for farmers could have risen in Czech Republic by one year

A fund of hardly insurable risks for farmers could have risen in the Czech Republic by one year. A vice-president of Agrarian Chamber (ACH) Jindřich Šnejdrla said it to journalists today. According to ideas of organizers ¨, both the farmers themselves and the state would contribute into the fund and even insurance companies, too. In case of damages, against which farmers can not insure at present, they would be compensated from the fund.

New opportunities of cooperation with Ukraine show for Czech farmers

A new opportunity of cooperation with Ukraine is opening to Czech farmers, especially in the area of forestry economy and alternative energy resources on base of agricultural raw materials; further in the area if investment in milk and meat processing, and growing of vegetable in greenhouses. Ukrainians are also interested in a cooperation on the field of science, technique and research, including education and experience exchange in the area of agricultural legislative.

World food process increased to new record in February

World food prices continued in growth last month. The Food an Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UNO announced today that its new food price index climbed to a new record maximum in February. It also warned that a step growth of oil prices could lead to a further rise in food process. The index which monitors monthly price changes in a food basket composed of cereals, oil plants, milk products, meat and sugar, reached 263 points in February. It increased by 2,2 percents from January record maximum and recorded already the eight month-on-month increase in sequence, the agency Reuters wrote.

Number of milk automatic machines grows

Veterinarians from the Regional Veterinary Administration of the region Pilsen (KVS) did not found out any more significant hygienic inadequacies in milk from automatic machines last year and this year. No inadequacies were detected also on farms where people buy raw milk from gate. KVS has made 39 checks in total of hygienic and technical state of sale appliances, service, sanitation and manipulation.
