We support Minister of Agriculture Ivan Fuksa in his present steps

In last week in the context of development at Czech political scene, motions for recall of some ministers of the current government including the Minister of Agriculture Ivan Fuksa appeared. The Private Agriculture Association of the CR (ASZ ČR), as a corporative and professional organization representing farmers and other hobby-interest unions all over the Czech Republic regards these suggestions in the way how they were presented as entirely politically motivated pressure which lacks any subject matter. Therefore ASZ ČR does not agree completely with this motion and vice versa it expresses a support to the current Minister of Agriculture for his continuance in the office till the electoral term end.

Draft of first law on National Park Šumava will be in June

Pilsen region will submit to Members own draft of law on the National Park Šumava (NPŠ), on which it has worked for two years, in half of this year. At first, the draft of the first law on NŠP at all will be proved by regional representatives. Pilsen and South-Bohemian region require a significant reduction of free-intervention zones on the total park acreage, The area of NPŠ should be maintained on the present 69 000 hectares of which 54 000 hectares are forests. Since September, the law has been discussed by a ten-member work group at the Ministry of Environment where both the regions and municipalities have their representatives. A councilman of Pilsen region for the environment, Petr Smutný (ČSSD), said to ČTK.

Agriculture is small for Babiš. He “sharps his teeth” for forestry

The group Agrofert through purchase of majority share of several wood-processing businesses enters the forestry branch. However, the transaction has to be approved by the antimonopoly office. The group Agrofert owned by the entrepreneur Andrej Babiš has bought 80-percent share in companies of the group Wotan which is an important player in the area of forestry, harvesting and processing of wood in the Czech Republic. Agrofert Holding informed about it on Monday. The firms are not going to publish the purchase price. The transaction is conditional on obtaining of agreement of the appropriate antimonopoly offices.

Development of production and prices of milk in CR

A brief review of production and supplies in dairy works in selected groups of products in 2009 and 2010. Milk production decreased last year in the entire Czech Republic by 3,5 percents to 2,6 billion liters. Only three regions showed a higher year-on-year production -Zlín, Karlovy Vary and Liberec.
