Ministry of Agriculture will provide 60 million crowns for protection of genetic resources this year

Institutions and self-employers, who care for genetic resources of plants microorganisms and farm and utility animals, will get sixty million of subsidies this year. The money will be provided them by the Ministry of Agriculture in framework of its National Programme of Protection of Genetic Resources for Nutrition and Agriculture. The subsidies can be spent only by universities, the Academy of Sciences of the CR, private and public research institutions, entrepreneurs and self-employers who are participants of the mentioned National Programme.

Minister introduced other procedure in programme Green to Savings. Money is for all regular applications. Applicants with mistakes will be appealed to correction and gradually paid-off.

The programme Green to Savings is clear from today. The government discussed further procedure in the programme Green to Savings today which the Minister of Environment Tomáš Chalupa introduced to general public. The main and positive information is that all applicants will be satisfied with properly completed applications. Financial means for all applications approved till this time and applications before the approval are disposable and will be paid off as soon as possible.

Publication of amount of direct payments in agricultural plants

The European Union created conditions so that at least of recipients of direct payments over 2010 could be published on the internet at least by the end of month. A transition solution on which all EU member states except France, Great Britain, Austria and Hungary agreed in last week is limited to publishing of information only about direct payments provided to legal entities. This regulation will come in force on the 28th of April.

Conditions for imports of animal products will be probably tightened

Conditions for imports of foods of animal origin from the EU member states will be perhaps tightened soon. If the government supports a proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture, their importers will have to inform supervisory authority in details about a delivery 24 hours before their arrival in the CR at the latest. It results from a proposal of material in an electronic library of prepared legislative. Domestic food producers and farmers have called for tightening of rules for food imports already for a long time.
