Lesy ČR announced break tenders for forestry works from 2012; it brings long-term stability and perspective to entire sector

Lesy ČR started a closer contractual proceedings for selection of forestry work suppliers for 117 contractual territorial units of state forests in a supposed total value of services of almost 7.6 billion CZK. It happened on the 28th of April 2011 by sending of the Announcement of commission for execution of forestry works with wood sale “at trunk” from 2012 in the Public Commissions Information System (ISVZUS).

Association in support of Czech garlic arose in Buchlovice

A civic association Českomoravský česnek has been founded in support of traditional Czech garlic in Buchlovice in the region Uherský Brod. Its main aim is to support growing and to increase consumption of this traditional vegetable in the Czech Republic and abroad. Owing to cheap garlic imports from abroad domestic growers have almost stopped its growing, a secretary of the Association Ladislav Logaj said it to ČTK today.

Nobody negotiates officially with Lesy ČR about intention to declare National park Jeseníky

Lesy ČR objects strongly to a statement of some members of a petition committee in support of foundation of the National Park Jeseníky (NPJ) who stated in their declaration issued this week that negotiations about the declaration of NPJ run over successfully. “We don´t understand how the committee members can assert something like this when nobody negotiates officially with representatives of Lesy ČR. Moreover, considering the present course of discussions on the given theme and often only purposefully used information, Lesy ČR considers the declaration of the petition committee as void, exaggerated and nonconforming the reality”.

Biggest Czech sugar and spirit producer changes name and logo

From Cukrovary a lihovary TTD to Tereos TTD. In this way, by enlistment in the Commercial Register, a name of the biggest Czech sugar beet processor and sugar and spirit producer changed. Also a new logo is connected with the change of name. It will replace the original crown TTD which becomes a brand for products of the company Tereos TTD. At the same time by fusion with a motherly Tereos TTD, a daughter company Agroethanol TTD, which had operated bio-ethanol distillery in Dobrovice, closed down.
