Information and communication technology in CR agriculture - survey 2011

In the period from April 26 to May 31, 2011, a wide investigation of development of information and communication technologies (ICT) is carried out in businesses of agriculture production on the entire CR territory. The aim is to analyze development and quality of internet connectivity in rural regions (overwhelming majority of entrepreneurial subjects operates here), technical and programme endowment, the use of modern technologies (structure, intensity), and also to find out actual development trends.

Agriculture in consumer´s hands

An organization PRO-BIO LIGA organized a seminar meting on the theme Agriculture supported by community: new alternative for Czech small farmers, society and sustainable development in a conference hall of the Czech University of Life Sciences at the end of March. For short “Agriculture in consumer´s hand”. The lecture was participated by foreign experts from England, France and Germany who have years of experience with this way of farming.

Ministry of Agriculture took significant step towards conceptual use of biomass

The Ministry of Agriculture will have elaborated a detailed analysis about possibilities of use of biomass for energetics and rural development by the summer end. The Action plan for the period 2012 - 2020 will also set up rules for its use and will serve also to a newly prepared State Energy Conception. “The Conception should set up rules in such a way to support as the most efficient use of agricultural biomass as possible, including wastes, and to prefer burning of biomass in the place of its production. At the same time, we have to think of reserving of sufficient acreage of fields for food growing”, a deputy-minister of agriculture Juraj Chmiel told.

Lesy CR opened public comment proceedings to contractual conditions for execution of forestry works from 2012

In the interest of openness in preparation of contractual conditions of a public commission for execution of forestry activities with sale of wood “at trunk” from 2012, Lesy CR has opened a public comment proceedings and calls upon interested persons to send their suggestions and comments to the contractual conditions relating to this commission.
