Minister of Agriculture Ivan Fuksa negotiated in Moravia about current questions of agriculture and flood-protection measures

An excursion at Plumlov dam, meeting with farmers, regional politicians and students of a high vocational school were content of today´s visit of the Minister of Agriculture Ivan Fuksa in Olomouc region. The main topic of the meetings was the agrarian future of the region and prevention against floods. The Minister of Agriculture Ivan Fuksa visited for example Přerov, Olomouc and Šumperk. In the region Olomouc, he negotiated with regional experts and politicians about agricultural development and flood-protection measures.

Jan Stráský: It is not possible to fight with wood engraver without chemicals

Jan Stráský is obviously the most intensively criticized director of the National Park Šumava. Conservationists dislike his procedure against wood engraver, which counts on a wide felling, and they accuse him of an effort to liquidate the park. Producers feed us with worse foods than west of Europe

World food producers supply foods of less quality in post-communistic countries than in the rest of continent. With reference to findings of Slovak consumer association, Czech Television (ČT) informed on it. Bulgaria, where reputedly goods of the worse quality are supplied, complains even in the European Union. Producers admit that composition of some products with the same mark is different for particular markets.

Drůbežářský závod Klatovy had higher profit, incomes and production last year

Drůbežářský závod Klatovy a.s., the second biggest chicken processor in the Czech Republic sold goods for 1.58 billion crowns last year which was year-on-yearly almost by 150 million CZK more. The plant´s gross profit has increased year-on-yearly from 59 to 65 million crowns. Last year´s numbers are very successful because all costs including purchased raw material went up last year. A general director David Bednář said it to ČTK.
