Cucumber crisis will costs Spanish farmers billions weakly

Spanish farmers sum up damages caused by news that their cucumbers spread killing enteric bacteria. Germany, where 15 people have already died, admitted on Tuesday that tests did not proved objectionability of cucumbers; nobody rather buy vegetable for fear. Since German authorities announced at end of last week that the resource of EHEC bacteria is cucumbers indigenous Spanish areas Almería and Malága, according to Spanish newspapers El Razón and El País local, farmers have fumbled with big crisis. The newspapers even mark the current situation as the biggest agricultural crisis in history.

Government approved new rules for suppliers of seed determined for protection of natural environment

An amendment of act on setting afloat seeds and plants of grown crop plants was approved by the government today. An aim of this legal regulation is anachievement of compliance with European Union regulations. The novel should protect the natural environment and the gene fund against unprofessional renewal of meadows and pasturages in protected areas. Above all, the law set newly the authority to set afloat mixtures of seeds determined for protection of the natural environment on base of a licence of the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture (ÚKZUZ).

Czech farmers can make the best of affairs in Germany

According to the president of Agrarian Chamber Jan Veleba, a fast increase of indigenous vegetable production is not a big problem. According to the Agrarian and Food Chambers, the current epidemic of enteric infection in Germany as well as a dioxin scandal in the same country at the turn of the year should paradoxically help to indigenous farmers and food producers. Reputedly, it will influence decision making of consumers in buying foods. They will be interested more than till now in their origin and will prefer domestic products. The president of Agrarian Chamber Jan Veleba told today.
