Number of cattle has increased in Liberec region in recent years

A number of cattle has increased in the region Liberec in recent years. On the 1st of April this year, farmers have raised 46 726 pieces in the region which was by 4.8 percents more than year ago. Vice versa, number of pigs has significantly decreased as well as a number of poultry. Nevertheless, the number of cattle has increased also in other six regions, but no so significantly as in Liberec region. According to the Czech Statistic Office, in total the numbers of cattle have decreased by 0.4 percents to 1 343 686 pieces.

MF DNES: New disease appears - dependence on bio-foods

New symptoms connected with food start to appear in the Czech Republic. It is dealt with a pathological dependence on healthy food, Sunday MF DNES stated. The disease reputedly starts to show itself quite innocently, however, gradually a range of foods, which ill people horrified with the fact that they could eat something unhealthy are willing to eat, narrows. As time goes on, of course, undernourishment comes and the organism starts to miss important substances. However, in most cases, patients end with depressions at the doctor earlier than they get in this stadium. The dependence on healthy food is subsequently found out during a therapy.

Non-self-sufficiency in milk? Really?

The Union of Marginal Areas warns that the CR still produces c. by 14 % of milk more than the consumption amounts to. We react on repeating incorrect data that our republic is not self-sufficient in milk. According to official data of the Czech Statistic Office that include also milk product the domestic consumption over 2010 was 2197 mil. conversed liters of milk, while the domestic market milk production amounted to 2508 mil. conversed liters of milk.

Programme Green to savings has ended; it run out of money

Representatives of self-governments from towns to small municipalities were keen after announcement of the programme Green to savings that they will warm up and repair schools, retirement homes, and municipal buildings and than they will only save in expenditures for heating. However, ministerial officials cancelled this program for a lack of money. “They neither let us know that they had cancelled it. We have a submitted application for warming up of kindergarten and multipurpose building in front of a council house. The budget for kindergarten was ten million crowns and eight million for the multipurpose building.”
