Unique news: Czech vegetable is absolutely healthy

Vegetable from Czech and Moravian fields fulfills all safety norms and people who consume it are out of any hazard. Such is a result of three-year testing of 56 samples of vegetable supplied on the home market. Experts from the Crop Production Institute and Institute of Chemical Technology confirmed what Czech farmers speak about - Czech vegetable is healthy and its consummation can not anyhow harm people.

Food-producers dislike amendment licensing home cattle slaughter

The Food Chamber and meat processors dislike an amendment of veterinary law which should enable, among others, home slaughters of cattle younger two years. The processors are afraid that meat from these slaughters will not be used only for own breeder´s consumption and it will strengthen already existing illegal meat trade. The Czech Meat Processors Association (ČSZM) stated it in a press release today. The draft law passed the first reading in the Chamber of Deputies in the half of May and the material should be negotiated for the second time by representatives this week.

Land owners and municipalities lose milliards

Paradoxically, some land owners pay far higher feu duty than their duty is where the land price is not up-dated according to the notice No. 3/2008. On the contrary, where the up-dating took place, the official prices for calculation of the tax very often decreases and municipalities become poor. The Czech Republic has an ingenious and unique system of soil evaluation, so called BPEJ - Classified Soil Economic Unit. It consists of five number of numerical code which describes soil and its quality. The first number (1-9) expresses a climatic region. The second and third numbers mean a soli quality, so called the main soil units (01-78).

Offender has been finally found

So, it has been finally found! The offender of all problems connected with erosion of agricultural land over many last years is nobody else than the Agrarian Chambers of the Czech Republic together with the Agricultural Union of the CR. At least it is alleged in the 23rd issue of the daily Zemědělec by a chairman of the Union of Marginal Areas, Milan Boleslav. How he came to this quite notable conclusion? On base of his own investigation he found out that appropriate officers of the Ministry of Agriculture who had prepared principles of protection of agricultural land erosion had been under pressure of representatives of the above mentioned organizations for a long time.
