Prices on Corn Exchange Brno rather remain in stagnation

Prices on Corn Exchange Brno rather remain in stagnation. In some crop plants, for example fodder barley they decrease by ones of percents. It results from information published by the Corn Exchange Brno today. According to a secretary of the exchange Karel Zezula, the last séance of business year shows a gradual price correction before first price estimation from the harvest 2011. “A significant decrease in prices showed itself above all in food and fodder wheat. A similar decrease is also in fodder barley and food rye”, Zezula stated.

Russia allowed import of vegetable from Belgium and Netherlands; it hesitates in case of Czech Republic

Russia canceled partially a ban of fresh vegetable import from countries of the European Union which was imposed at the beginning of June in a reaction on a spread of dangerous infection of bacteria E. coli in Germany. A federal authority Rospotrebnadzor will allow in the meantime vegetable imports from Belgium and the Netherlands, however, it considers also a request of other five EU countries. According to the agency Reuters, the Czech Republic is among them.

Breads are different, notice says

Industrial bakers will obviously obtain a valuable point in a fight with competition in a form of small bakeries of chain stores. According to a draft amendment of notice on foods, which arises at the Ministry of Agriculture, among others as a fresh products it will have to be marked only such bread production of which was not interrupted before finalization by freezing or other treatment leading to prolongation of lifetime and which are offered to sale maximally in 24 hours after baking.

Responsible farmers support fight against erosion

Tighter economy rules for fight with erosion will start from the 1st of July 2011 in the Czech Republic. The reason for their introduction is a fact that water erosion in the Czech Republic endangers almost a half of the total acreage of arable land. Annually, the erosion causes damages to land fund in amount of more than four milliard crowns. The Private Farming Association (ASZ), associating more than two and half thousand Czech farmers, participates actively in enforcement and keeping to the terms of the right agricultural practice.
