Farmers in Pilsen region buy more agricultural machines than last year

Recovery of agricultural machinery sale was reported against last year almost by all machinery sellers at the biggest regional agricultural exhibition in the region Pilsen in Hadačka at Kralovice. However, some of them still wait how this year´s harvest will turn out. The interest of viewers and firms is every year higher; this year, 120 firms arrived and the attendance will be certainly higher than last year´s 5000 people. It was said to ČT by Jaroslav Bulín from Kralovická zemědělská which organized the action focused on machinery and plant and animal production already for the ninth time.

Despite the fact that this year´s poppy crop has not been damaged much by weather whimsies or diseases, in the end, this popular food can be lacking. “We have two hundred and twenty hectares of poppy this year which is against the last year a decrease by some fifty hectares. The reason is for the present quite unfavourable poppy price. It moves now about twenty five crowns which is below production costs”, Vratislav Šimůnek from Osiva in Havlíčkův Brod said. This firm managed poppy fields near Pohled and Přibyslav.
