Let´s defend against growing imports
The Food Chamber of the CR warns against still growing poultry meat imports which flow on our markets not only from Poland, but newly also from Hungary. Consumers themselves warned about this problem. They were used to buy Czech poultry which is now still more often replaced by poultry from foreign producers on shelves of chain stores. Already for a long time, the Food Chamber of the CR warns about the absurdity of imports of food in which the Czech Republic has sufficient production capacities and produces them often in much higher quality than the imported products are. Concretely, an occurrence of salmonella was repeatedly found out in imported poultry meat; moreover, long transports of sensitive raw materials, which the raw poultry meat doubtlessly is, can show negatively in the meat quality.
Rabies is still problem in the world
Our breeders, who travel with their dogs abroad, especially outside the EU, very well know about a risk of rabies. Many states still fight with the problem of rabies, therefore also in our veterinary law the duty of breeder to secure a vaccination of dogs as well as foxes and badgers kept in captivity in the age of 3 - 6 months and revaccination according to the term of efficiency of the used vaccine, holds. The length of immunity duration after the vaccination and the term of further revaccination will be stated by a veterinary doctor. It usually moves in interval from1 to 3 years.
Prices of inputs in agriculture grow slower than producers´ prices
Prices of inputs in agriculture in the Czech Republic grew roughly three times slower in this year´s first half a year than buy-out prices of agricultural production. The prices of inputs increased by 9.3 percents in half a year; prices of agricultural producers increased at average almost by 29 percents. It results from data published by the Czech Statistic Office (SCO) on its web. In inputs, above all a price of chemical fertilizers and feeds increased significantly.
