Representatives supported amendment limiting impacts of pesticides use

The Chamber of Deputies supported in the first reading a government amendment of act on phytosanitary care today. This draft law should limit impacts of use of pesticides on human health and the environment. Among others it forbids aerial sprays of chemical preparations, however, it enables them under well defined conditions. The amendment will be now discussed by the agricultural committee. Aerial sprays will have to be allowed by a phytosanitary administration on base of an aerial plan and a subsequent application for permission of a particular aerial application or in case of extraordinary aerial sprays. If the phytosanitary administration allows the aerial spray, it will have to inform municipalities in the affected area and local authorities will have to inform their citizen by an usual way.
