Round table on proposals of EU Common Agricultural Policy 2014 - 2020 in Liberec region

The nation-wide network for the country of Liberec region organized a round table on a topic “Future of rural and agricultural development 2013 - 2020 - Liberec region” today, on the 2nd November. Participants of the round table were representatives of all organizations and associations who are concerned. Besides farmers and food processors also representatives of towns and villages and non-governmental agrarian organization sit at the round table. The first vice-chairman of the Senate Přemysl Sobotka and a member of the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Parliament Rober Dušek participated in as elected representatives of the region Liberec. Jaroslav Podzimek acted as a member of the Council of Liberec region.

SZPI forbade pasta from Vietnam owing to record content of aluminium.

The State Agricultural and Food Inspection (SZPI) ordered to withdraw from market pasta vermicelli originating from Vietnam. Reputedly, the product contains the highest amount of aluminium as the inspection has ever found out in a food product. The maximal limit for aluminium content was exceeded more than 40-times, Michal Spáčil, a spokesman of SZPI informed today. The product was sold under the name "Totaci Mien Dong Zong's vermicelli Zvláštní nůdle" in half-kilogram package with date of expiration the 31st of December 2012. The product was imported by Cheb company Vivacomex. According to the spokesman, the inspectors found out 442 mg/kg aluminium; the maximal admissible value is ten milligram per kilograms.

Czech farmers will obtain approximately 16.5 milliard crowns over year 2011 in framework of unified payment per area

The Minister of Agriculture Petr Bendl approved tariffs of endowment titles for the year 2011. In the framework of the unified payment per area of agricultural land (SAPS), Czech farmers will get 4 686.50 CZK/ha. On the whole, 26 867 applicants were registered this year. The unified payment per area (SAPS) is the main payment of direct payments. This payment can be asked for by natural person or legal person managing agricultural land which is registered to the applicant in a register of utilization of agricultural land according to user relations (so called LPIS). It is fully covered from European money.

Possibilities of irrigation use at grape vine

Water is the main factor of vegetative and generative growth of grape vine. It influences physiological processes in grape-vine shrub and biochemical changes in grapes. Grape yield and quality is affected by an ability of grape-vine shrub to adapt to availability of water in vineyard. Water secures a transport of nutrients from the soil into the plant and the nutrients´ movement in the plant. In case of lack of non-availability of water the grape vine gets in stress situations. The stress shows itself significantly in quality of grapes. Grapes than contains less amount of amino-acids, organic acids, possibly sugars. In white varieties, also the flavour of grapes is negatively influenced. Grape vine has a decreased intake of mineral substances from the soil which shows in low values of wine extract.
