Common declaration concerning legislative proposals of Commission to the future CAP in 2014 - 2020

Representatives of Hungarian Agrarian Chamber, the National Council of Polish agricultural chambers, the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic, Slovakian Agrarian and Food Chamber, The Federation of Romanian Agricultural producers, Estonian Agricultural and Trade Chamber, Latvian agricultural non-governmental organizations, the Lithuanian Farmers Union and Croatian Agrarian Chamber met to negotiate attitudes of their organizations towards legislative proposals of the Commission concerning the future Common Agricultural Policy.

Sugar on stock exchange in New York strengthened for the third day

Third time within Wednesday trade séance on the stock exchange ICE Futures U.S. the most active futures contract for raw sugar strengthened. It was dealt with a reaction on yesterday´s act of American Fed and other five central banks whose aim is liquidity increase in the bank system, above all of insolvent banks in Europe debt-crisis-tossed. Standard&Poor´s GSCI index of 24 raw materials recorded an increase by 1.7 % during yesterday´s afternoon. An increased interest in commodity was then a consequence of weakening of American dollar towards a basket of six main world currencies by 1.4 %.

Brewery Starobrno will brew about 1.1 mil. hl. this year, by tenth more

The brewery Starobrno from the group Henineken will brew about 1.1 million hectolitres of beer this year. The production volume against last year will increase by about ten percents. It should grow also in the next years. Starobrno plans also a slight increase in the brewery´s capacity from the present 1.3 million hectolitres yearly by about ten percents. The senior brewer of the brewery Tomáš Pluháček said it to ČTK. The production volume of Brno brewery increases in last years. It is connected with a hundred-million investment in a beer plastic bottle line with a bigger volume which the brewery installed in the spring last year. Last year, Starobrno reached the border million hectolitres closely before the end of year; this year already in November.
