MoA will present report criticizing process of LF transformation to government

The Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) will present a report about transformation of the Land Fund of the CR (LF CR) to government on Wednesday in which it criticizes insufficiently fast progress of the key change of the Fund and waste of public means. The Land Fund should end at the end of 2012 and merge with land offices. Till the time it should streamlined including the agenda. According to original plans it should give parcels to restituents so that the state would own only the strategically important ones or those which the state blocks for settlement with churches. From the report available for ČTK it results that the Fund´s director Radim Zika (ODS) is not successful in the task to prepare the Fund for the consolidation and he does not manage to deal with restitution claims in the current pace. Moreover, the Fund commissions public orders which have a longer fulfilment term that its planned existence is, so they reach after 2012.

What amendment of law on ecological agriculture brought?

The law No. 344/2011 comes in force on the 1st of January 2012 and changes the present law No. 242/2000 Col., on ecological agriculture. The amendment was adopted above all on base of a new European legislative of ecological agriculture which is the Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 and implementing regulation of the Commission (EC) No. 889/2008. The rules of management for ecological agriculture and bio-food production are governed in European legislative; therefore they are not included in the national act. The law governs above all administrative procedures or some regulations concerning the control system. So, what is changed by the amendment?

The yield per hectare will be high this year; however, growers are still afraid. Domestic potatoes growers have passed obviously one of the best years in the history. At least, regarding the yield per hectare which statisticians estimate to 29.72 tonnes per hectare against the last year´s value 24.56 tonnes. However, other indicators are not so excellent.

There are grants for trees planting

People can ask for a foundation contribution Small grant and Place under trees till the 20th of January 2012. Tens of schools, municipalities, associations and unions, which can be supported by the Foundation Partnership with its contributions, become convinced of that tree planting and creation of public green areas can strengthen neighbourly and other relations. Also people from the region Ústí will have a chance to leave here a common result in form of planted fruit avenue or a well-tended children playground next year. Already now they can ask for the foundation contribution Small grant and Place under trees.
