Hop crop is much lower this year. However, hop-growers rejoice at it
Hop growers rejoice at that the hop crow was significantly lower this year against the foregoing one. An apparent paradox has a simple explanation. The last year´s over-production only increased costs, knocked down prices to a minimum, and often farmers failed to sell hop because there were no other interested people. “Regarding to the lower harvest against the foregoing year it is possible to expect a gradual trading up of the whole production of the year 2011”, a chairman of the Czech Hop-Growers Union Bohumil Pázler outlines.
