Region Hradec Králové will still support hunting of over-proliferated wild boars

Shooting of wild boars was introduced by the region in 2003. The region Hradec Králové will also this year financially support huntsmen in hunting of over-proliferated wild boars. Huntsmen will get a contribution 200 crowns for a shot young wild boar. Rewards for hunters were approved by a regional council today. The region introduced the support of wild boars shooting in 2003 and till this time it has paid off almost 3,5 million crowns.

Rector of CULS in Prague Jiří Balík appointed his five prorectors

At a meeting of the Academic Senate of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, a new rector of CULS, professor Ing. Jiří Balík, CSc., delivered decrees of appointment to five his prorectors with whose names and their orientation he acquainted senators on the first February Tuesday. The prorector for international relations will be the docent PhDr. Michal Lošťák, PhD. He enters the function with years of experience from a position of in the same way orientated vice-dean from the Faculty of Economics and Management.

Minister of Agriculture opened public discussion about Czech agriculture future

On January 29, the Minister of Agriculture Jakub Šebesta opened a public consultation about a future development of Czech Agriculture in which it is possible to enter by means of web sites of the Ministry of Agriculture,

MZe: State curtailed subsidies to quarter of last year checked farmers

State authorities carried out 599 checks in managing farmers which were focused on landscape careful treatment last year. In quarter of cases they found out breaking of regulations and reduced consequently subsidies to the farmers. It results from data of the Ministry of Agriculture. These inspections are a part of so called conditionality checks known also as cross-compliance. The system was introduced by the Czech Republic from the beginning of last year and besides the careful treatment of landscape it should motivate farmers to good treatment of animals.
